Sziget Photo Diary. Day Five.

The Luminarium. Each year the queues are endless. And civilized. One could almost risk the term fun. Because Sziget is a weird place like that.

The Ritual Chicken Dance

Someone's brought their little friend to have some fun

Day Five takes its toll

A Crib. They had some weird feud going on with Franz Ferdinand, who in turn dedicated Walking Away to them. I'd say that's one-zero to Alex Kapranos.

A beautiful goal

Another Crib.

The Creative Area

One from the weird questions of Sziget series: where have the camels gone?

Someone might have listened a wee bit to much to NIN

The Unicorn of Kazincbarcika

A new take on the concept of chain smoking

The Cökxpon ambient tent

Franz Ferdinand, who should have headlined the Main Stage, but didn't because David Guetta threw some flames and such. But we won't growl, the money has to come from somewhere, so let the masses enjoy Monsieur Guetta and we'll just stick to our Franz.

Some band members decided to rebel against the all black dress theme

                                           Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand

Franz Ferdinand can also boast with a positively stylish front row

Shooting Franz on film. How hipster of us.

The last day means the dumpsters are out on their holy mission to grant people in the back a better view.

Empire of the Sun came with some droid girls

And some fascinating headgear. And in a parallel universe of more reasonable humankind they'd be the ones throwing flames on the Main Stage. I dare anyone to name a song more firework worthy than Alive. I dare you.

If it's the Party Arena then let's party

Tame Impala were positively psychedelic and positively awesome

Tame Impala imparting some good advice. (Yes I am proud of that alliteration and yes I'll come up with an increasing number of those If I keep listening to them)

If you wonder where did everyone go, the French disc chevalier is on the Main Stage.
                                                  And here go the fireworks.

                             A sense of an ending

Katy B managed to look adorable in a table cloth fashioned into a summer jump suit. Now that's a feat.

A malefic intelligence in the Sziget scheduling department thought it was a good idea to have a Serbian brass band play at midnight on the last day. My feet beg to differ. Everything else of me approves. Slobodan Salijevic Orkestar.
