The last big scorch of the summer has come to an end. This week the sunsets were still shimmering with heat, people walking along the Danube and up on the hill late at night, terraces overflowing until dawn. But the light was slowly changing, becoming more muted and the trees started dropping their leaves. Now the rain is here and so are the first winds of autumn.
