Early Autumn Lights

I love to follow the changing of the seasons in parents' yard and garden, because it's all so contained, I know every nook and cranny, so all alterations that would be small elsewhere, are very vividly noticeable here. Early autumn is almost never cold, but the light shifts into a muted hue, and all fruit is ripe-minus my grandmother's lemons that never make it into yellow.
